Migration Agents Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Migration Act 1958.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 September 1994.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Migration Agents Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 4 (Prescribed qualifications)

3.1   Subregulations 4 (1) and (3):

Omit “paragraph 114T (1) (f)”, substitute “paragraph 292 (1) (f)”.

4.   Regulation 5 (Code of Conduct)

4.1   Omit “subsection 114ZR (1)”, substitute “subsection 314 (1)”.

5.   Schedule (Code of conduct)

5.1   Heading:

Omit “section 114ZR”, substitute “section 314”.

5.2   Clause 15:

Omit “Department of Immigration, Local Government and Ethnic Affairs”, substitute “Department of Immigration and Ethnic Affairs”.

5.3   Clause 17:

Omit “entry permit”, substitute “visa”.

5.4   Clause 18:

Omit “Department of Immigration, Local Government and Ethnic Affairs”, substitute “Department of Immigration and Ethnic Affairs”.

5.5   Address at the end:

Omit:

“DEPARTMENT OF IMMIGRATION, LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND ETHNIC AFFAIRS”;

substitute:

“DEPARTMENT OF IMMIGRATION AND ETHNIC AFFAIRS”.
