1Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Migration Agents Registration Application Charge Amendment Regulations 2003 (No. 1).

2Commencement

These Regulations commence on 1 July 2003.

3Amendment of Migration Agents Registration Application Charge Regulations 1998

Schedule 1 amends the Migration Agents Registration Application Charge Regulations 1998.

omit

1 July 2001 is $1 180; and

insert

1 July 2003 is $1 760; and

[2]Paragraph 4 (2) (b)

omit

1 July 2001 is $950.

insert

1 July 2003 is $1 050.

[3]Subregulation 5 (1)

substitute

1. (1)

   This regulation applies to an individual who acts, as disclosed in the individual’s registration application, solely:

   1. (a)

      on a non-commercial or non-profit basis; and

   2. (b)

      as a member of, or a person associated with, an organisation that operates in Australia solely on a non-commercial or non-profit basis.
