NOTICE UNDER SUBSECTION 96(1) OF THE MIGRATION ACT 1958
SPECIFICATION OF POOL MARK IN RELATION TO APPLICATIONS FOR SKILLED - INDEPENDENT OVERSEAS STUDENT (RESIDENCE) (CLASS DD) VISAS
I, AMANDA VANSTONE, Minister for Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs, acting under regulation 1.17 of the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’) and subsection 96(1) of the Migration Act 1958 (‘the Act’) hereby:
1. SPECIFY that the pool mark for the purposes of the Act and the Regulations in relation to applications for Skilled - Independent Overseas Student (Residence) (Class DD) visas made before 8 May 2002 is 110 points;
SPECIFY that the pool mark for the purposes of the Act and the Regulations in relation to applications for Skilled - Independent Overseas Student (Residence) (Class DD) visas made between 8 May 2002 and 31 March 2005 (inclusive) is 115 points; and
SPECIFY that the pool mark for the purposes of the Act and the Regulations in relation to applications for Skilled - Independent Overseas Student (Residence) (Class DD) visas made on or after 1 April 2005 is 120 points.
This notice has effect on and from 14 April 2004.
