AN ACT to amend the Metropolitan Water

Works Act, 1896.

[Assented to, 2Pth October, 189g.]

HEREAS it is expedient to increase the Borrowing Powers of

Wthe Metropolitan Water Works Board, for the purpose of

improving the Water Supply of the City of Perth: Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1.. THIS Act may be cited as the Metropolitan Water Works

2. THE Board may issue debentures to the extent of Four Borrowing 1power of

hundred thousand pounds, instead of Three hundred and fifty Board increased to

thousand pounds as provided by Section 13 of the Metropolitan tw"°°.
