AN ACT to amend the Metropolitan Water Supply,

Sewerage, and Drainage Aet, 1909.

[Assented to 16th December, 1925.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byand with the advice and consent of the Legislative

Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows :—

1.    This Act may be cited as the Metropolitan Water Short title and

Supply, Sewerage, and Drainage Act Amendment Act, 1925, commencement.

94. (1) No water rate shall in any one year ex- Amount of rate.

(2) The sewerage rate shall not in any one year

exceed-

(i) one shilling and sixpence in the pound on the

annual rateable value of the land rated, or

(ii) threepence in the pound on the capital unim- proved value of the land rated, where the valuation is on the basis of the capital unimproved value of the land.

(3) The storm-water rate shall not in any one year

exceed-

(i) fivepence in the pound on the annual rateable

value of the land rated, or

(ii) five-sixths of a penny in the pound on the capital unimproved value of the land rated, where the valuation is on the basis of the capital unimproved value of the land.

(4) The Minister may make and levy a minimum rate of the prescribed amount upon any land the annual rate on which would not exceed such amount, but such prescribed amount shall not exceed, in the case of a water rate, ten shillings ; in the case of a sewerage rate, seven shillings and sixpence ; and in the case of a storm-water rate, two shillings and sixpence.
