AN ACT to amend the Metropolitan Region Town

Planning Scheme Act 1959-1979.

[Assented to 28 October 1980.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Metropolitan and

Region Town Planning Scheme Amendment Act	citation.
1980.

(2) In this Act the Metropolitan Region Town Neprinted as approved 27

Planning Scheme Act 1959-1979 is referred to as	December
1978, and
the principal Act.	Act No. 115
amended by
of 1979.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Metropolitan Region Town

Planning Scheme Act 1959-1980.

Section 41

amended. 2. Section 41 of the principal Act is amended by inserting, after subsection (1), the following subsection-

" (la) An owner of land situate within the metropolitan region is also liable to pay Metropolitan Region Improvement Tax in accordance with section 15A of the Land Tax Assessment Act 1976 and, for that purpose, the said section shall apply as if references therein to land tax and the Land Tax Act 1976 were respectively references to Metropolitan Region Improvement Tax and the Metropolitan Region Improvement Tax Act 1959. " .
