AN ACT to amend the Metropolitan Market Act,
1926-1969.
[Assented to 27th October, 1977.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Metropolitan Snort title

Section 11
| amended. | 2. Section 11 of the principal Act is amended |
(a) as to subsection (1), by deleting the passage "and provisions.", in the last line and inserting in lieu thereof the passage "; and may permit land held by the Trust to be used and occupied for the purpose of providing such commercial, business, professional, trade and other facilities as the Trust considers necessary or desirable for the convenience of persons using the market, resorting thereto, or buying or selling therein." ;
(b) as to subsection (2)-
(i) by deleting the word "purpose", in line one, and inserting in lieu thereof the word "purposes"; and
(ii) by inserting after paragraph (b) a paragraph as follows-
(ba) grant leases of land held by
the Trust; ; and
(c) by adding a subsection as follows
(5) Notwithstanding the provisions of this Act as in force from time to time before the date of the coming into operation of the Metropolitan Market Act Amendment Act, 1977, it shall be deemed that, before that date, the Trust always had all of the powers conferred on it by this Act as amended by that Act. .
Section 13
