AN ACT to authorise the sale of the land comprised in Reserve A13563 (Merredin), and the application of the Proceeds of Sale to the discharge of certain liabilities, and the Improvement of Reserve A 14223.

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows:-

Short title.

1.

This Act may be cited as the Merredin Racecourse Act,

1923.

Power to sell

Reserve 13563.

2.

The land comprised in Reserve +13563 vested under section forty-two of the Laud Act, 1898, in the trustees for the Merredin Race Club, may be granted to the Merredin Road Board for an estate in fee simple; and the said Board is hereby empowered to sell the said land to be so granted, and to transfer the same to a purchaser, freed and discharged from all trusts affecting the land.

Application of

PerChase money.

The said Board may, with the approval of the Minis- ter for Lands, apply the proceeds of sale to the discharge of liabilities already incurred in improving Reserve +13563, and subject thereto shall hold such proceeds in trust to apply the same, to the satisfaction of the Minister for Lands, to the im- provement of Reserve +14223 at Merredin.
