AN ACT to amend the Merchant Shipping Act Application Act, 1903.

B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byCouncil and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, inand with the advice and consent of the Legislative
this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of
the same, as follows:—

Application Amendment Act, 1919.
Amendment
Section two of the Merchant Shipping Act Application Act, 1903, is hereby amended, as from the commencement thereof, by the deletion of the words "where such ships are within the jurisdiction of the State," and the insertion in lieu thereof of the words "so far as it is not already so appli- cable," and by the addition of a subsection, as follows :-

(4) For the purposes of this section the words "shall apply such property in manner provided by Part XII. of this Act (relating to the Mercantile Marine Fund)," occurring in section one hundred and seventy-nine of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1894, shall be deemed to be excised, and the words "shall pay so much of such property as consists of money into the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Western Australia, and shall convert the balance (if any) of such property into money and pay the proceeds into such Fund," shall be deemed to be substituted therefor.
