Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Mental Health Act 2007.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to update a reference to the Mental Health Act 2009 of South Australia which is declared to be a corresponding law for the purposes of Chapter 8 of the Mental Health Act 2007.

This Regulation is made under the Mental Health Act 2007, including the definition of corresponding law in section 170 and section 196 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Mental Health Amendment (Corresponding
Laws) Regulation 2010.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Mental Health Regulation 2007

Clause 25 Corresponding laws

Omit “Mental Health Act 1993 of South Australia”.
Insert instead “Mental Health Act 2009 of South Australia”.
