MENTAL HEALTH (AMENDMENT) ACT 1994 No 25—
PROCLAMATION
(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.
I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Mental Health (Amendment) Act 1994, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 19 September 1997 as the day on which Schedule 1 (3)–(5), (14) and (15) of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Mental Health (Amendment) Act 1994 which relate to the accreditation of persons by the Director-General of the Department of Health to perform certain functions in connection with the detention of persons in hospitals under the Mental Health Act 1990.
