AN ACT to amend the Mental Health Act,
1962-1965.
[Assented to 8th October, 1968.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Short title

2. Section twenty-seven of the principal Act is salended.
amended, as to subsection (1),-
| (a) | by deleting the passage, "in writing, in the prescribed form,", in line two of paragraph (a); and |
| (b) | by deleting the words, "in writing in the prescribed form", in lines two and three of paragraph (b). |
| 3. Section fifty-one of the principal Act is sana | 5e1nded. |
amended by substituting for paragraph (c) of sub-
section (1), the following paragraph
within seventy-two hours after the patient,
| (c) | or, in the case of a patient under the age of eighteen years, the parent or guardian at whose request the patient was admitted, applies for his discharge. . |
