AN ACT to amend the Members of Parliament

Reimbursement of Expenses Act, 1953.

[Assented to 9th December, 1955.]

RE it enacted, by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

Short title

and citation

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Members of Parliament Reimbursement of Expenses Act Amend- ment Act, 1955.

(2) In this Act the Members of Parliament Reim-

bursement of Expenses Act, 1953,

Act No. 47 of 1953,

is referred to as the principal Act

1955.]

Reimbursement of Expenses.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Members of Parliament Reim-

bursement of Expenses Act, 1953-1955.

2. The principal Act is amended by adding after S. 2A. added.

1947, alteration of the column under the head-

ing, "Province or District for which the Member of Parliament is elected.", of the Schedule to this Act is necessary, the Governor may, by Order in Council published in the Gazette, make the alteration.

(2) An Order in Council made in exercise of the power conferred by subsection (1) of this section, and published in the Gazette, has effect according to its tenor.
