Medicines and Poisons Amendment

Regulations 2023

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Medicines and Poisons Amendment

Regulations 2023.

2.              Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on 1 February 2023.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Medicines and Poisons

Regulations 2016.

4.             Regulation 3 amended

In regulation 3(1) delete the definition of Standard for the

Uniform Scheduling of Medicines and Poisons (SUSMP).

5.             Regulation 75 amended

current Poisons Standard Part 2 Division 6.

In regulation 75(2) delete "SUSMP Part 2 section 5(1)." and insert:

current Poisons Standard Part 2 Division 6.

6.             Regulation 78 amended

In regulation 78(4) delete "SUSMP Part 2 section 5(1)." and insert:

7.           Various references to "SUSMP" replaced

In the provisions listed in the Table delete "SUSMP" (each occurrence) and insert:
