Medical Treatment (Amendment) Act 1997

An Act to amend the Medical Treatment Act 1994

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

Short title

1.  This Act may be cited as the Medical Treatment (Amendment) Act 1997.

Commencement

2.  This Act commences on the day on which it is notified in the Gazette.

Principal Act

3.  In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Medical Treatment Act 1994.1

Making of direction

4.  Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting “for a current condition”.

Repeal

5.  Section 10 of the Principal Act is repealed.

Schedule

6.  The Schedule to the Principal Act is amended—

(a)by omitting from Form 1 “for the condition to which this form relates”; and

(b)by omitting from clause 1 of Form 1 “, in relation to my current condition (describe current condition)”.
