Medical Practitioners Registration (Fees) Amendment Regulations 2006

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Medical Practitioners Registration Act 1996 .16 February 2006

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Medical Practitioners Registration (Fees) Amendment Regulations 2006 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on 1 August 2006. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Medical Practitioners Registration (Fees) Regulations 1998 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Schedule 1 amended (Fees) Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting the table and substituting:

7. Fee to inspect register	Section 36(1)	$10
8. Fee to obtain copy of or extract from register	Section 36(2)	$5 per page
9. Fee to obtain copy of notice	Section 37(2)	$5 per page

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation) These regulations amend the

(a) increasing the annual registration fee and certain other fees payable under the Medical Practitioners Registration Act 1996 ; and (b) introducing a reduced registration fee for retired and non-practising medical practitioners.
