An Act to amend the Medical Practitioners Registration Act 1996

[Royal Assent 13 December 2007]

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Medical Practitioners Registration Amendment Act 2007 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the Medical Practitioners Registration Act 1996 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Section 19 amended (General registration) Section 19(a) of the Principal Act is amended by omitting “in evidence that he or she has passed the AMC’s examinations”. 5Section 20 amended (Conditional registration to undergo supervised training, &c.) Section 20(2)(a) of the Principal Act is amended by omitting “in evidence that he or she has passed the AMC’s examinations”.
