MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS REGISTRATION

No. 34 of 1970

An Ordinance to amend the Medical Practitioners

Registration Ordinance 1930-1969.

1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Medical Practitioners Registration Ordinance 1970.*

(2.) The Medical Practitioners Registration Ordinance 1930-

1969f is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Medical Practitioners Registration Ordinance 1930-1970.

2.  Section 11 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by omitting sub-section (3.) and inserting in its stead the

following sub-section:—

" (3.) A person who attends for the purpose of giving evidence before the Board is entitled to receive such fees and travelling expenses in accordance with the scale in the Second Schedule to the Public Works Committee Regula­ tions as in force from time to time under the Public Works Committee Act 1969 as the Chairman or, if the Chairman is absent from the meeting of the Board, the Deputy Chair­ man determines."; and

(b) by omitting from sub-section (4.) the word " allowances"

and inserting in its stead the word " expenses ".

3. Section 41 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by omitting sub-section (4.) and inserting in its stead the

following sub-section:—

" (4.) A person (not being a party) who attends before the Minister for the purpose of giving evidence is entitled to receive such fees and travelling expenses in accordance with the scale in the Second Schedule to the Public Works Committee Regulations as in force from time to time under the Public Works Committee Act 1969 as the Minister determines."; and

(b) by omitting from sub-section (5.) the word " allowances"

and inserting in its stead the word " expenses ".
