MEDICAL PRACTICE ACT 1992—REGULATION
(Relating to infection control standards)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Medical Practice Act 1992, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Regulation made under the Medical Practice Act 1992 published in Gazette No. 74 of 16 June 1995 (at pages 3166–3170) is amended by omitting from clause 1 the matter “7 July 1995” and by inserting instead the matter “8 September 1995”.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to delay the commencement of the amendments to the Medical Practice Regulation 1993 relating to the infection control standards required to be followed by medical practitioners. Those amendments were to have commenced on 7 July 1995 but will now commence on 8 September 1995.
This Regulation is made under the Medical Practice Act 1992, including section 194 (the general regulation making power).
