s1 2 s3 Medical Board of Queensland Amendment (No. 1) No. 272, 1995 ˙ Short title 1. This by-law may be cited as the Medical Board of Queensland Amendment By-law (No. 1) 1995 . ˙ By-law amended 2. This by-law amends the Medical Board of Queensland By-law 1987 . ˙ Replacement of ss 4–5A 3. Sections 4 to 5A— omit, insert— ˙ ‘ Forms ‘ 4.(1) A form approved by the board is the prescribed or approved form for its purpose. ‘ (2) A form approved by the board for an application under section 23 of the Act must be verified by statutory declaration. ˙ ‘ Fees ‘ 5. The fees payable under the Act are in the schedule. ˙ ‘ Waiver of annual registration fees ‘ 5A.(1) The annual registration fee is waived for the registration year in which a person is first registered as a medical practitioner. ‘ (2) If a person is first registered as a medical practitioner on or after 1 July in a registration year, the annual registration fee for the following registration year is also waived. ‘ (3) The board may also waive the annual registration fee for a person for a registration year if the person— (a) is at least 70 on the day of making application for registration; and (b) does not earn any income from the practise of medicine; and

s5 3 s5 Medical Board of Queensland Amendment (No. 1) No. 272, 1995 (c) applies to the board for the waiver of the fee before the registration year starts. ‘ (4) In this section— “registration year” means a period of 12 months beginning on 1 October.’. ˙ Replacement of schs 1 and 2 5.
