This by-law may be cited as the Medical Board of Queensland Amendment By-law 1992 . Amended by-law 2. The Medical Board of Queensland By-law 1987 is amended as set out in this by-law.

2 Medical Board of Queensland Amendment By-law 1992 Replacement of s.1 (Short Title) 3. Section 1— omit, insert — ‘Short title ‘1. This by-law may be cited as the Medical Board of Queensland By- law 1987 . ’. Omission of s.3 (Arrangement of By-laws) 4. Section 3— omit . Insertion of new s.5A 5. After section 5— insert — ‘Waiver of fees ‘5A. The annual licence fee is waived by the Board— (a) if a person is first registered as a medical practitioner before 1 October in any year—for that year; or (b) if a person is first registered as a medical practitioner after 1 October in any year—for that year and the following year; or (c) if a medical practitioner who is 70 years or older applies for waiver of the fee on or before 30 April in any year—for that year. ’. For registration as a medical practitioner and a specialist at the same time (ss.19(1) and 22 of the Act) 4. Certificate of registration for the purpose of post-graduate tuition (s.20A of the Act) 5. Annual licence fee for medical practitioner (s.25 of the Act) 6. For insertion in a register of a higher degree, diploma, status or additional qualification (s.26 of the Act) 7.
