13 ttemsTUn ANNO VICESIMO SECUNDO ELIZABET HA E SEC E.l NDAE R EG I NAE No0 2 of 1973 An Act to am end the Medical Act and O ther Acts (Adminis- tration) Act 1966-1971 in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO I1TH APRIL, 1973] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Medical Act and Other Acts (Administration) Act Amendment Act 1973. (2) The Medical Act and Other Acts (Administration) Act 1966-1971 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Medical Act and Other Acts (Administration) Act1966-1973. 2. New s. 9. The Principal Act is amended by inserting after section 8 the following section:- "9. Collection , and holding accounts . Notwithstanding the provisions of any other Act, the registrar may, with the consent of the Minister, for the purpose of collecting and holding moneys received by him on behalf of all or any of the boards of which he is registrar, establish and keep one or more accounts at a bank carrying on business under the authority of a statute of the State or of the Commonwealth :
14 Medical Act and Other Acts ( Admin) Act Amdt Act 1973, No. 2 Provided that where moneys collected on behalf of two or more of those boards are paid into one account , the registrar shall at least once in each month cause the moneys collected on behalf of each of them to be appropriated to and paid into the account kept by the registrar on behalf of that board.". 3. New s. 10 . The Principal Act is amended by inserting after section 9 as inserted by this Act the following section:- " 10. Payment of ann ual fees and publication of record of registered persons . Notwithstanding the provisions of any of the Acts referred to in section 4 of the Principal Act- (a) every annual licence fee and every annual renewal fee payable under each of those Acts respectively to the board constituted under that Act shall be payable to the registrar on behalf of that board during the period in each year prescribed by regulation or, as the Act under which the fee is payable may require, by by-law and until another period is so prescribed during the period in each year commencing on the first day of January and terminating on the thirtieth day of April; (b) the provisions of each of those Acts that require publication in the Gazette of a register , copy register or other record of persons registered under that Act shall be read and construed as requiring such publication of the register , copy register or other record of persons so registered as at a date prescribed under that Act by regulation or, as the case may be, by-law and until another date is so prescribed as at the first day of May in each year.".
