Meat Industry (Amendment) Regulations 1998

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe buffalo and rabbit as consumable animals for the purpose of section 3 of the Meat Industry Act 1993.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 3 and
78 of the Meat Industry Act 1993.

3.  Prescription of buffalo and rabbit as consumable animals

In regulation 7 of the Meat Industry Regulations
19941 after paragraph (b) insert—
"(c) buffalo;

(d) rabbit, if not living in a wild state.".
