Meat Industry Amendment Act 1999 (NSW)

An Act to amend the Meat Industry Act 1978 in relation to membership of the Board of the New South Wales Meat Industry Authority, and to amend the Food Production (Safety) Act 1998 in relation to membership of the Meat Industry Consultative Council.

1Name of Act

This Act is the Meat Industry Amendment Act 1999.

2Commencement

This Act commences on the date of assent.

3Amendment of Meat Industry Act 1978 No 54

The Meat Industry Act 1978 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

4Amendment of Food Production (Safety) Act 1998 No 128

The Food Production (Safety) Act 1998 is amended as set out in Schedule 2.

(Section 3)

Omit “12 members” from section 45 (2). Insert instead “13 members”.

Insert at the end of section 45 (2) (i):

(Section 4)

Meat Industry Act 1978

Omit section 47 (2) (j) of the Meat Industry Act 1978 (as proposed to be inserted by Schedule 3 [16]).

Insert instead:

(j)

one is to be a representative of consumers of meat.
