Meat Industry (Amendment).
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Short title.
1. This Act may be cited as the "Meat Industry (Amendment) Act,
1982".
Amendment of Act No. 54, 1978.
The Meat Industry Act, 1978, is amended by omitting section 57 and
by inserting instead the following section:—
Power to lease premises.
57. (1) The Corporation may, with the consent of the Minister, from time to time lease any premises vested in it for a term not exceeding 99 years.
(2) The Corporation may give to the lessee of any lease under sub- section (1) an option of renewal if the aggregate duration of the lease and any such renewal does not exceed 99 years.
(3) The Corporation may exercise its power under subsection (1) to lease premises for use in connection with the performance of its func- tions or for any other use.
