MEAT INDUSTRY ACT 1978 - REGULATION
(Relating to nominations for members of the

Meat Industry Authority)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Meat Industry Act 1978, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Meat Industry (Nomination of Panel) Regulation 1978 is amended by omitting clause 5 (b) and by inserting instead the following paragraph

(b) The N.S.W. Domestic Abattoirs Association.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to update clause 5 of the Meat Industry (Nomination of Panel) Regulation 1978 as a consequence of the change of name of the New South Wales Livestock Slaughtering Association to the N.S.W. Domestic Abattoirs Association. Clause 5 prescribes the organisations engaged in the meat industry which (under section 45 of the Meat Industry Act 1978) are entitled to nominate representatives to the panel from which appointments as members of the Meat Industry Authority are made.
