MEAT INDUSTRY ACT 1978—REGULATION

(Relating to fees)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Meat Industry Act 1978, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 September 1992.

Amendments

2. The Meat Industry (Licensing) Regulation 1980 is amended:

(a)	by omitting from clause 6 (1) (i) (i) the matter “$1,400” and by inserting instead the matter “$1,500”;
(b)	by omitting from clause 6 (1) (i) (ii) the matter “$725” and by inserting instead the matter “$775”;
(c)	by omitting from clauses 20 (2) (c) and 23 (2) (c) the matter “$137” wherever occurring and by inserting instead the matter “$150”;
(d)	by omitting from clause 28 (2) (c) (i) the matter “$262” and by inserting instead the matter “$280”;
(e)	by omitting from clause 28 (2) (c) (ii) the matter “$165” and by inserting instead the matter “$177“:
(f)	by omitting from clauses 32 (c) and 39C (c) the matter “$30” wherever occurring and by inserting instead the matter “$35”;

(g)	by omitting from clause 38 (2) (c) (i) and (iii) the matter “$82” wherever occurring and by inserting instead the matter “$87”;
(h)	by omitting from clause 38 (2) (c) (ii) the matter “$137” and by inserting instead the matter “$150”;

(i)        by omitting from clause 41 (1) (a) the matter ‘‘$2,800’’ and by inserting instead the matter “$3,000”;

(j)	by omitting from clause 41 (1) (b) the matter “$1,450” and by inserting instead the matter “$1,550”;
(k)	by omitting from clause 42 (b) the matter “$60” and by inserting instead the matter “$70”;
(l)	by omitting from clause 42 (c) and (e) (ii) the matter “$275” wherever occurring and by inserting instead the matter “$300”;

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Meat Industry (Licensing)

Regulation 1980 to increase licence fees and other fees payable for the purposes of
the Meat Industry Act 1978 to cover the costs of inspection and other services
relating to the administration of the Act.
