REGULATIONS UNDER THE MEAT EXPORT CONTROL

ACT 1935-1950.*

I, THE GOVERNOR GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Meat Export Control Act 1935-1950.

Variations of salary on account of variations in cost of living.

1 The Meat Export Control (Staff) Regulations are amended by omitting regulation 6.

Conditions of employment of officers.

2. Regulation 8 of the Meat Export Control (Staff) Regulations is amended by inserting after paragraph (d) the following paragraph :—

" (da) variations of salary on account of variations in cost of living; ",

3. The Schedule to the Meat Export Control (Staff) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting Table A and inserting in its stead the following table :—

(i) Typists under the age of 21 years may be paid an allowance at the rate of £24 per annum if able to write shorthand at the rate of 100 words per minute, or £36 per annum if able to write shorthand at the rate of 120 words per minute and transcribe or type letters and the like with due regard to punctuation and form

(ii) Machinists under the age of 21 years maybe paid an allowance at the rate of £36 per annum on passing such tests as the Minister approves

Commencement.
