REGULATIONS UNDER THE MEAT EXPORT
CONTROL ACT 1935-1946.*
WHEREAS
it is enacted by the Meat Export Control
Act 1935-1946 that for the purpose of enabling the Australian Meat Board
effectively to control the export of Australian meat, meat products and edible
offal, the Governor-General may make regulations prohibiting the export from
the Commonwealth of any meat, meat products or edible offal except by persons
who hold licences issued by the Minister, and in accordance with such
conditions and restrictions as are prescribed after recommendation to the
Minister by the Board:
And whereas the Board has
recommended to the Minister that the export from the Commonwealth of meat, meat
products or edible offal should be in accordance with the conditions and
restrictions prescribed by the Meat Export Control (Licences) Regulations as
amended by the Regulations hereunder:
Now therefore I, the
Governor-General in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations
under the Meat Export Control Act 1935-1946.

Amendments
of the Meat Export Control (Licences) Regulations.
Definitions.
1. Regulation 3 of the Meat
Export Control (Licences) Regulations is amended by omitting from
sub-regulation (1.) the definition of “the
Secretary” and inserting in its
stead the following definition:—
“‘the
Manager’ means the officer, appointed under section 15 of the Act, to be the
Manager.”.
Application
for licence to export meat.
2. Regulation 5 of the Meat
Export Control (Prices) Regulations is amended by omitting the word “Secretary” and inserting in its stead the word “Manager”.
Return
of meat shipped to United Kingdom.
3. Regulation 9 of the
Meat Export Control (Licences) Regulations is amended by omitting the word “Secretary” and inserting in its stead the word “Manager”.
Return
of meat shipped elsewhere than to United Kingdom.
4. Regulation 10 of the
Meat Export Control (Licences) Regulations is amended by omitting the word “Secretary” and inserting in its stead the word “Manager”.

5. Regulation 11 of the
Meat Export Control (Licences) Regulations is amended by omitting the word “Secretary” and inserting in its stead
the word “Manager”.
