An
Act to amend the Meat Export (Additional Charge) Act 1956.
[Assented to 6th May, 1964.]
BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent
Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of
Australia, as follows:—
Short
title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Meat Export (Additional Charge) Act 1964.
(2.) The Meat
Export (Additional Charge) Act 1956 is in this Act referred to as
the Principal Act.
(3.) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may
be cited as the Meat Export (Additional Charge) Act 1956–1964.
Commencement.
2. This Act
shall come into operation on the date fixed by Proclamation under section two
of the Meat Industry Act 1964.
Definitions.
3. Section
four of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the definition of “the Board”
and inserting in its stead the following definition:—
“‘the Board’ means the Australian Meat Board
continued in existence by the Meat
Industry Act 1964;”.
Charge
additional to charge under Meat Export Charges Act 1935–1954.
4. Section
seven of the Principal Act is repealed.
Rate
of additional charge from 1st February, 1956.
