Meat and Live-stock Industry Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Meat and Live-stock Industry Act 1995.

1.   Commencement

1.1   Regulation 4 commences on 1 September 1997.

[Note: The remainder of these Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Meat and Live-stock Industry Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   New regulation 3A

3.1   After regulation 3, insert in Part 1:

Definition of “live-stock” (Act, s. 3)

 “3A. Buffaloes are prescribed for the definition of ‘live-stock’ in section 3 of the Act.”.

4.   Regulation 3A (Definition of “live-stock” (Act, s. 3))

4.1   Omit the regulation.
