Meat and Live-stock Industry (Conditions of Export) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Meat and Live-stock Industry Act 1995.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Meat and Live-stock Industry (Conditions of Export) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 4 (Meat unfit for human consumption)

2.1   Add at the end:

“; and (c) skins and hides; and

  • (d)

    tallow.

[NOTE: Section 52 of the Act includes a special definition of ‘meat’ for the purposes of Part 3 (which deals with the Australian Meat and Live-stock Corporation). Subdivision B of Division 2 of that Part deals with the export of meat and live-stock.]”.
