No. 10, recommend to the Governor in Council that the applica- tion of the Board be granted without modification or with such modification as he thinks requisite, or may refuse such application. The Governor in Council may, on the recommendation of the Minister, grant such application with or without modification as aforesaid, and thereupon the fol1owing c'>llsequences shall ensue : - (i.) During the period for which the operations Qf the Board are discontinued the Board shall be excused from making any assessment under· this Act; and ' (ii.) E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- Short title I. This Act may be cited as "The Meat and Dairy caonndstruction PrOdltCe Encouragement Acts Amendment Act of 1910," of Act. and shall be read as one with "The Meat and Dairy Produce Bnf~ Oltrage' iJ' lent Acts, 1893 to 1U04"*; and this Act and those Acts may together be cited as "The Meal and Dairy Prodlwe Encouragement Acts, 1893 to 1910." Time withiR whieh certificates are to be clRimed. 2. (1.) As soon as may be after the passing' of this Act, the Minister shall cause to be published in the Gazette and in such public newspapers circulating, within the Commonwealth as the Minister thinks fit, extending over " 57 Vie. MEAT AND DAIR,Y PRODUCE. 1910. Meat and Dairy, &c., Act. a period of three months from the first publication in the Gazette, a notice- - (a) Requiring all persons entitled to be granted a certificate of payment of tax under section three of "The Meat and J)airy Produce Encouragement Act of 1895,"* and who have not been granted such certificate, to make application therefor before the first day of July, one thonsand nine hundred and eleven, ann stating that all right and title of any person to such a certificate will be absolutely barred if application therefor is not made before the said date; and (b) Requiring every person to whom such a certifi- cate of payment of tax has been granted, and who claims to be entitled to be repaid any moneys under "The Jl eat and J)ctir,1j Produce Encouragement .Acts; 1893 to 1910," to make application for such moneys before the first day of July, one thou~and nine hundred and eleven~ and stating that all right und title of any such peroon to any such moneys will be absolutely barred if such application is not made before the said date. (2.) On and after the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven- Ca) The right and title of every person who has not bef'n granted such a certificate of payment of tax, or made application therefor as last herein- before provided to claim or receive such certifi- cate or to claim or be repaicl any moneys under I( The JIj eat and hairy Produce Encourage- ment Acts, 1803 to 1910"; and Cb) The right and title of every person who has been granted such a certificate of payment of tax, and has llot made application for any moneys which he may be entitled to be repaid under the said last-medioned Acts; shall be absolutely barred, anything in the said Acts to the contrary notwithstanding.. 10072 MElAT AND DAIR,Y PRODUCE,. Meat and Dairy, &c., Act. 1 GEO. V. No. 10,1910. Repe!,lof 3. :Section five of "The Meat and Dairy Produce ~ . 95: IC. No. 6 Encouragement .Act of 1895"* is repealed. Payment in full to all certificate holders. 4. As soon as may be after the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, the Minister shall repay to every holder of any certificate granted under the said Acts, and who has duly made an application as in this Act is provided, the total amount of such certificate, but without interest, upon presentation of such certificate. The provisions of section seven of "l'he Meat and Dairy Produce Encouragernent .Act of 1895"* shall be applicable to all payments made under this section. Application of surplus moneys. 5. All moneys standing to the credit of the Meat Fund and Dairy Fund, respectively, after payment thereout of the moneys authorised and required by this Act to be paid, shall be kansferred to a Trust Account, to be called the Meat and Dairy Trust Fund. Moneys from time to time standing to the credit of the Meat and Dairy 'rrust Fund may, in tile discretion of the Minister, be applied to all or any of the following objects :- (a.) Aiding the chilled meat industry by way of grant, loan, or guaranteeing insurance; (b) Aiding any industry that would help to get rid of surplus stock; (c) Aid by way of grant to the Diseases in Stock Fund established under " l1he Diseases in Stock .Act of 18!)6."t * 59 Vie.
