To amend the Meat Ordinance 1931-1950.

1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Meat Ordinance snort title
•mro * a n d citation. 19o3.* (2.) The Meat Ordinance 1931-1950 is in this Ordinance
referred to as the Principal Ordinance.
(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance,
may be cited as the Meat Ordinance 1931-1953.
2. Section four of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Definitions,
omitting from the definition of " Meat" the word " fa t " and
inserting in its stead the words " edible offal".
3. Section seven of the Principal Ordinance is repealed and
the following sections are inserted in its stead:—
"7 .— (1.) A person shall not sell or expose for sale, or have Meattobe
in his possession for sale, any meat in respect of which a brand
is prescribed unless the meat bears the prescribed brand.
Penalty: Fifty pounds.
" (2.) This section does not apply in respect of meat lawfully
brought into the Territory.
" 7A. A person shall not, except as authorized under the regula- Bringing oi
tions, bring meat into the Territory, or cause meat to be brought Territory,

carried on by him or by another person.
Penalty: Fifty pounds.".
