I AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Meat Ordinance 1931.

BE it ordained by the Governor-General in and over the the Federal Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers con-Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of ferred by the Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909 and the
Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910-1930, as follows:—

1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Meat Ordinance short title.

1933.

(2.) The Meat Ordinance 1931 is in this Ordinance referred

to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance,

may be cited as the Meat Ordinance 1931-1933.

2. The Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting Section 17

and inserting in its stead the following:—

" 17. The Minister may from time to time determine the fees, Minist6r
charges or prices in respect of— t°eaX&o

(a) the lairage, pasturage, examination or slaughter of animals at public abattoirs or approved slaughtering places;

(6) the chilling or storage of meat at the abattoir;

(c) the acquisition or treatment of fat, bones, viscera, offal

or condemned meat under this Ordinance.
(d) the disposal of tallow, blood, bone-meal or other pro-

ducts produced at abattoirs; or

(e) salting, rolling, drying or other treatment of hides or

skins."
