MCIVER

v

THE KING & ANOR

[2024] HCASL 166
C5/2024

  1. The applicant applies for an extension of time in which to seek special leave to appeal against a judgment of the Court of Appeal of the Australian Capital Territory (Loukas-Karlsson, Baker and Bromwich JJ), dismissing an appeal from a decision of the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory (Mossop J).

  2. There is insufficient reason to doubt the correctness of the Court of Appeal's judgment to warrant a grant of special leave to appeal.  Accordingly, it would be futile to grant an extension of time.

  3. Special leave to appeal is refused.
