Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Maternity Leave (Commonwealth Employees) Act 1973.

Principal Regulations

1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Maternity Leave (Commonwealth Employees) Regulations.

Prescribed authorities

2. Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting paragraphs (c) and (d) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(c) a company specified in column 2 of an item in Schedule 2a is declared to be a body corporate;”.

Prescribed persons

3. Regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (a) “or an unincorporated body referred to in paragraph 4 (a), (b) or (c)” and substituting “, an unincorporated body or a company referred to in regulation 4”.

4. After Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations the following Schedule is inserted:
