Maternity Leave (Commonwealth Employees) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, WILLIAM PATRICK DEANE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Maternity Leave (Commonwealth Employees) Act 1973 and the Productivity Commission (Repeals, Transitional and Consequential Amendments) Act 1998.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on gazettal.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Maternity Leave (Commonwealth Employees) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Schedule 3 (Prescribed persons)

3.1   Items 30 and 31:

Omit the items, substitute:

“30	Commissioner of the Productivity Commission
31	Associate Commissioner of the Productivity Commission”.

4.   Application of amendment

4.1   The amendment made by regulation 3 has effect from the commencement of the Productivity Commission Act 1998.
