AN ACT to prohibit the importation to, and use within

the Colony of Western Australia, of certain Dangerous

Matches.

[Assented to, 28th August, 1876.]

HEREAS it has been found that the use of all such matches

specially prepared to assist such ignition; and any person or persons who shall contrary to the foregoing provision import to or use within the said Colony any match or matches other than such as may be lawfully imported or used, shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding Fifty pounds, and the matches so unlawfully imported or used shall be forfeited.

Shortening Ordinance.

2 THAT Sections A, C, F, and I, of " The Shortening

Ordinance, 1853," shall be incorporated with and form a portion of this Act.
