IN ACT to amend an Act passed in the sixth year of Her Majesty, No. 5, intituled "An Act to provide a summary remedy in certain cases of Breach of Contract."

HEREAS it is expedient to amend the Act passed in the sixth

summary remedy in certain cases of Breach of Contract :" Be itWyear of Her Majesty, No. 5, intituled " An Act to provide a

or fine. conviction of the defendant or defendants, in their discretion either to impose a punishment of imprisonment for such term as is by the said Act directed, and with or without hard labor, or to impose a penalty not exceeding Ten pounds, which penalty may be recovered summarily before two or more Justices of the Peace, under and in accordance with the provisions contained in "An Ordinance to facilitate the performance of the duties of Justices of the Peace out of Sessions within the Colony of Western Australia, with respect to summary convictions and orders," passed in the fourteenth year of Her Majesty, No. 5.

THIS Act shall be incorporated and read together with the

above recited Act, and with " The Masters and Servants Amend-

ment Ordinance, 1868."

4. THE Short Title of this Act shall be " The Masters and

Short Title.

Servants Amendment Act, 1882."
