WH E R E A S present Majesty Queen Victoria in t i tu led " An Act to amend-	" and consolidate the Laws between Masters and Servants in New South
" Wales" it was amongs t o ther th ings enacted t h a t t h e said Act should commence and t a k e effect from the da te of its passing and should be and cont inue in force u n t i l t h e thirty-first day of December in t he year one thousand e ight h u n d r e d and forty-eight A n d whereas by a cer ta in other Act made and passed in t he e leventh year of t h e reign of H e r said present Majesty in t i tu led " An Act to amend an Act " intituled 'An Act to consolidate and amend the Laics between Masters " ' and Servants in New South Wales'1 " i t was amongs t other th ings enacted t h a t t h e said A c t should commence and t ake effect from and after t he first day of A u g u s t then next and tha t the said Act and the hereinbefore first reci ted Ac t should be and cont inue in force un t i l t h e thir ty-f irs t day of December in t he year of our Lord one thousand e ight hund red and fifty A n d whereas it is desirable tha t t h e dura t ion of t he said two Ac t s should be cont inued and extended Be i t therefore enacted by H i s Excellency the Governor of New South Wales wi th t h e advice and consent of the Legislat ive Council thereof Tha t t h e 1
dura t ion of t he said two recited Acts shall be extended a n d t h a t t he
same shall con t inue and be in force un t i l t h e thir ty-f irs t day of December in t h e year of our Lord one thousand eight hund red and fifty-two.
