MR R.SMITH: If Your Honour pleases,
I appear in this matter on my own behalf.
(instructed by Jervis Smith & Thomas)
| HIS HONOUR: | Yes, Mr Smith. Is there any appearance for your |
former client?
| MR SMITH: | Not that I know of, sir. | I did speak to an |
interpreter yesterday afternoon who spoke to me
about the matter generally and I invited the
applicant via the interpreter to attend if she so
desired and she does not appear to be here at the
moment.
| HIS HONOUR: | I wonder if we should simply page her at the door. |
Jt i:s _Mrs Anja Marusic.
| THE COURT CRIER: | "Mrs Anja Marusic" |
Mrs Marusic is not here, Your Honour.
| HIS HONOUR: | Mr Smith, I have read the affidavit and the summons |
and I can see no difficulty in your way.
| MR SMITH: | Thank you, sir. |
| HIS HONOUR: | I think it is appropriate that pursuant to |
Order 7 subrule (1) that I now make an order
declaring that Mr Smith - or should it be in the
name of the firm?
| MR SMITH: | I was not quite sure about that, sir, so I think |
| it probably should be in the name of the firm | |
| in retrospect. |
| HIS HONOUR: | Yes. | And the firm is Jervis Smith & Thomas? |
| MR SMITH: | Yes, sir. |
| HIS HONOUR: | The order will be to declare that the firm of |
Jervis Smith & Thomas have ceased to be the solicitors
acting for Mrs Anja Marusic in the proceeding.
I think that is in order.
| MR SMITH: | Thank you sir. |
| HIS HONOUR: | That concludes the business. |
