In section fifty-two of the said Schedule, the words" strike out from the ballot-paper the name of every candidate for whom he does not wish to vote" are repealed, and the words" mark the ballot-paper by making a cross in the square opposite the name of the candidate or of each of the candidates for whom he votes" are inserted in lieu thereof. (6.) Paragraph (v.) of section fifty-six of the said Schedule is repealed, and the following paragraph is inserted in lieu tllereof:- Cv.) Has no cross in a square opposite the name of a candidate, or has fewer crosses or more crosses in such squares than the number of candidates to be elected. 25. In section two of the Principal Act, after the. of s. 2. definition of "J-,and Commissioner", the following definition is inserted :- ' "Dingo"-A dingo or half-bred dingo or any undomesticated dog, generally known as a wild dog, inhabiting the bush and apparently having no owner and being under no control. 'fo the definition of " :\rarsupial" in the ·said seetion the following words are adderl :-" The term includes a dingo." In the definition of "Holding" in the said section the words "with the ultimate right of acquiring the fee· simple thereof" are repealed. Alteration of 3. From and after the date of the passing of this term o£loan. MA1~ SUPIAL' ! . £\938 1913. Marsupial Proof Fencing Act Amendment Act. (2.) Subject to the said Acts, such annual payment shall be payable on the same day in every ycar during the subsistence of the security, and the first of such payments shall be made at the expiration of one year from the date of the execution of the mortgage or charge. (3.) Every such mortgage and charge shall embody such terms and conditions as the Governor in Oouncil may prescribe by regulations. (4.) Moreover, every such charge shall contain a covenant by the owner executing the same, on behalf of himself and his successors in title, that in the event of such owner or any of his successors in title becoming entitled to a deed of grant of the holding in fee..,simple, at any time before the redemption of such charge, he will execute such a mortgage of the fee-simple of the holding as hereinbefore provided to secure repayment to the Minister of the amounts secured by the said charge or such of them as for the time being remain unpaid. And so long as any moneys remain owing on the security of such charge no such person shall be entitled to any such deed of grant as aforesaid until such mortgage has been duly executed. 4. Notwithstanding anything contained in "The Exemption Marsupial Boards Acts, 1905 to 1910,"* no assessment! : ~ : sment. made and levied by a Marsupial Board under those Acts shall be payable in respect of stock depastured on a or holding on a group of selections not exceeding two hundred square miles in area which to the satisfaction of such Board is entirely enclosed with a marsupial-proof fence, and as to which for the year in question the Board is satisfied that the fence is maintained marsupial proof, and also either that the holding is free from marsupials or that adequate measures for the destruction of marsupials are being taken.
