Art Act to amend

The Marriage Act, 1867."

[Assented to, 30th January, 1869.1

HEREAS it is expedient to amend "The Marriage Act, Preamble.

Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the W 1867"-Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor of the

Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province, in this present Parliamcnt assembled, as follows:

1, Section 38 of " The Marriage Act, 1867," is hereby repealed.

2. Act No. 7 of 1864, intituled " An Act to amend the Acts %f;B",pfActNo. 7

relating to Marriages in the Provincc of South Australia, by extend-

ing certain provisions thereof to persons professing with the Society of Friends, called Quakers," is hereby repealed, except so far as may

be necessary to support any act heretofore lawfully done under the

authority thereof.

In the name and on behalf of the Queen I hereby assent to

this Act.
