AN ACT to legalize the marriage of a Man with the Sister
of his Deceased Wife.

HEREAS it is expedient that the maniage of a Man with
ful; Be it therefore enacted, by His Excellency the Governor ofW the Sister of his Deceased Wife should be declared law- Western Australia and its Dependencies, by and , with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:—
1 NO manage that has been or may be contracted between a
man and the sister of his deceased wife, shall, within this Colony,

be deemed other than a good and valid marriage merely by reason
of the affinity between the parties to such marriage.
2 FROM and after the passing of this Act it shall be lawful for
a man, within this Colony, to marry the sister of his deceased. wife.
I reserve -this Bill for the signification of Her Majesty's
pleasure thereon.
