AN ACT to amend the Marketing of Eggs Act,

1945-1954.

[Assented to 9th December, 1955.]

BE it enacted, by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

and citation. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Marketing

of Eggs Act Amendment Act, 1955.

(2) In this Act the Marketing of Eggs Act, 1945-

1954,

Act No. 58 of 1945 as amended by Acts Nos. 19 and 50 of 1949, 18 of 1950, 5 of 1951, and 42 of 1954,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may

be cited as the Marketing of Eggs Act, 1945-1955.

2.    Section five of the principal Act is amended by amended.

adding after the word, "meaning" being the last word in subsection (1), the following interpreta- tion:—

"sale by retail" means sale in such quantity and on such conditions, if any, as are declared from time to time by the Board and published from time to time in the Gazette.

Section seventeen of the principal Act is amended by adding after the word, "eggs" in line three of paragraph (b) of subsection (1), the passage, ", and in the fixing from time to time of the maximum price at which each respective grade of eggs may be sold by retail,".	amended.
