MARITIME SERVICES (PENSION
OF VICE-PRESIDENT) ACT.
Act No. 18, 1936.
An Act to make provision for the payment of a pension to the Vice-President of the Maritime Services Board of New South Wales; and for purposes connected there with. [Assented to, 19th June, 1936.]

1. This Act may be cited as the "Mar i t ime; Services (Pens ion of Vice-Pres ident) Act, 1936."
2. I n this Act " T h e Commonwealth A c t " means the Supe rannua t ion
Act,
1922-1930,
of
the
P a r l i a m e n t
of
the Commonweal th of Aus t ra l i a , and includes any Ac t amending or replacing tha t Act.
" T h e Superannua t ion F u n d " means the Super

| 3. (1) (a ) Capta in George Davies Wil l iams, Vice- P re s iden t of the Mar i t ime Services B oa r d of New South Wales , shall, upon ceasing to contr ibute to the Super annua t ion Fund , p a y from time to t ime to the Colonial T r e a s u r e r such amounts as would have been payable by him to the Supe rannua t ion F u n d if ho had continued to be a cont r ibutor within the mean ing of the Commonweal th Act for the number of uni t s of pension for which he was contr ibut ing a t the da te of his appoin tment as a Commis sioner of The Mar i t ime Services B o a r d of New South Wales. | (b) |
(b) Capta in George Davies Wil l iams shall within fourteen days af ter receipt by him of the amount of the refund of actual contr ibut ions pa id by h im to the Supe rannua t ion F u n d p a y such amount to the Colonial T rea su re r .
(2) If the said Capta in George Davies Wil l iams complies with the provis ions of subsection one of this section, such amounts by way of pension and other bene fits as would have been payable out of the Superannua t ion F u n d to him or to any other person if—
(a) he had continued to be a contributor within the meaning of the Commonwealth Act, (b) no such refund of actual contributions as is
re fe r red to in p a r a g r a p h (b) of subsection one of this section had been made,
(c) the amounts pa id by him under p a r a g r a p h (a) of subsection one of this section had been pa id by h im as a contr ibutor to the Superannua t ion
F u n d p u r s u a n t to the Commonwealth Act,
(d)
his service as a Commissioner of The Maritime Services B o a r d of New South Wales had been service as an employee wi th in the meaning of the Commonwealth Act,
shall be pa id out of the Consolidated Bevenue F u n d to
h im or to such o ther person.
