EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to repeal the Port Authority—Porterage and Passenger Wharf Operation Regulations—N.S.W. The Regulations prescribe a licensing scheme for, and limit the charges that may be made by, porters working at the passenger terminals under the Board’s control. They also impose other controls relating to the operation of such terminals. Hirers of the Board’s passenger terminals now control the services provided by porters and the other passenger terminal operations. Consequently, the Regulations are obsolete.
