The Regulation provides the machinery for an election, by the employees of the Maritime Services Board, of one of the commissioners of the Board. The office of commissioner was abolished in 1984 by an amendment to the Maritime Services Act 1935 which reconstituted the Maritime Services Board. Consequently, the Regulation is obsolete.
