MARITIME SERVICES ACT 1935—REGULATION

(Repeal of the Botany Bay (Oil Tankers) Regulations)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council,

and in pursuance of the Maritime Services Act 1935, has been pleased to approve the Regulation made by the Maritime Services Board of New South Wales and set forth hereunder.

The Maritime Services Board of New South Wales, in pursuance of the
Maritime Services Act 1935, hereby makes the following Regulation:
Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1st October, 1991.

Repeal

2. The Botany Bay (Oil Tankers) Regulations are repealed.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to repeal the Botany Bay (Oil Tankers) Regulations. The Regulations prescribe the conduct to be observed by owners or masters of vessels in the vicinity of the tanker berths at Botany Bay and the safety procedures to be carried out for berthed tankers. The Regulations have been superseded by clause 351 of the Dangerous Goods Regulation 1978 (made under the Dangerous Goods Act 1975) and Regulation 8 (2) of the Management of Waters and Waterside Lands Regulations—N.S.W. (made under the Maritime Services Act 1935). Consequently, the Regulations are obsolete.
